The Brooklyn Nets are still dealing with a lot in this 2022 offseason. They are trying to figure out how to satisfy their star duo of Kevin Durant and Kyrie Irving as both players have expressed a desire to get out of Brooklyn.
The Nets have been known to want to take care of Durant first before they focus on finding a deal for Irving, but it has been very tough to find a Durant trade. The Nets are asking for a lot–as they should–and nobody has been able to reach that asking price that Brooklyn has out there. The Nets have not been satisfied really with any Durant trade offer they have received thus far.
Considering the facts, maybe the Nets should focus on moving Irving first. ESPN’s Jalen Rose already broke down why the Miami Heat don’t have the assets to acquire Durant, but what about Irving?
A mock trade from Bleacher Report has the Nets sending Irving to South Florida for a package of players.
