New mock trade has Nets moving Kevin Durant to Pelicans in a deal

A new mock trade has the Brooklyn Nets moving Kevin Durant to the New Orleans Pelicans in a deal.

At this point of the offseason, the Brooklyn Nets are in the middle of figuring out what to do in terms of both Kevin Durant and Kyrie Irving. Obviously, Durant has officially requested his trade while Irving opted in for the 2022-23 season, but Durant’s trade request complicates that decision now.

The Nets want fair value for Durant, but they also are not receiving the bidding war like they were hoping to receive. For one of the best players the game has ever seen, it has been disappointing to not get the type of offers the Nets were hoping to get. Brooklyn even made an offer to the Minnesota Timberwolves that was rejected by the T-Wolves as they did not want to give up that much.

A mock trade put together by Bleacher Report has the Nets sending Durant to the New Orleans Pelicans as they acquire Brandon Ingram in the deal.
