According to Dr. Rachael Levine, Secretary of Health for the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, a new universal mask mandate is on the way for Pennsylvania that could have a serious impact on the Pittsburgh Steelers.
Based on the mandate, the Steelers’ players would be required to wear masks while playing. You can read the full document above.
I am sure the NFL will push back against this but just based on the working of the mandate it doesn’t sound like the Steelers would be able to get around this unless they can prove it creates an unsafe work environment. Could you make the case it is unsafe for NFL players to wear masks during games?
But I want to pass the question off to you. Should NFL players be required to wear masks while playing or could this end up creating bigger problems. Let us know in the comments where to stand on the mandate in general and its potential impact on the Steelers.
