The Philadelphia 76ers will figure to be an active team in the upcoming offseason as President of Basketball Operations Daryl Morey looks to make upgrades around Joel Embiid and Tyrese Maxey. The Sixers will be in the running for a lot of big names such as Paul George, LeBron James, and others, but they will also have to fill out the roster.

In terms of filling out those roster spots, the Sixers will need solid role players. They will need players who fit next to Embiid due to their shooting ability and need to produce on both ends of the floor. A player in the mold of Seth Curry or Danny Green just as examples.

A fake trade suggestion from Bleacher Report has the Sixers making a move for Bogdan Bogdanovic from the Atlanta Hawks.

Philadelphia 76ers Receive: Bogdan Bogdanović

Atlanta Hawks Receive: No. 16 pick, Milwaukee’s 2027 second-round pick

This exact construction should be a no-brainer for the Sixers (cap space-pending). Bogdanović is a career 38.4 percent shooter from distance on over eight attempts per 36 minutes and brings more on-ball scoring pizzazz than Buddy Hield and more playmaking than Kelly Oubre Jr.

Bogdanovic fits everything the Sixers would need in a role player. He averaged 16.9 points, 3.1 assists, and 3.4 rebounds while shooting 37.4% from deep in the 2023-24 season. His ability to shoot the ball as well as put it on the floor and create for others is exactly what the Sixers value next to Embiid and Maxey. He is what Philadelphia needs when it comes to the playoffs as teams begin to load up on the two superstars.

Coming up with any trade ideas for the Sixers right now is a fluid situation. The Sixers really only have draft picks to offer as they have only four players under contract for the 2024-25 season: Joel Embiid, Paul Reed, Ricky Council IV, and Jeff Dowtin Jr. Of those four, only Embiid is guaranteed so coming up with trade scenarios and possibilities for Philadelphia right now is tricky. In this instance with the Hawks–who own the No. 1 pick in the draft–one is assuming that they will begin a rebuild and the Sixers will be looking to poach some of those win-now players off of them.
