Defensive lineman Alexander McPherson has hit the ground running during his early days with the Colorado Buffaloes.
Along with quarterback Julian Lewis and other class of 2025 early enrollees, McPherson is practicing with the Buffs as they prepare for Saturday’s Alamo Bowl. Earlier this week, safety Ben Finneseth and running back Charlie Offerdahl both mentioned McPherson as a standout early enrollee.
Here’s what Finneseth said of McPherson (h/t DNVR’s Ryan Koenigsberg):
“He was setting the tone early yesterday,” Finneseth said. “I hosted him on a visit and got him to flip, so it’s chill stuff. It seems he’s already learning from me. He’s doing a great job and he’s a great kid. He’s been fun to watch and he’s already been fun to watch in practice.”
A former three-star prospect (per 247Sports), McPherson was committed to Oklahoma State before signing with the Buffs earlier this month. The 6-foot-4, 250-pound Floridian played high school football at IMG Academy, which also produced current Colorado offensive linemen Jordan Seaton and Cash Cleveland.
From what we’ve seen on Well Off Media, four-star offensive lineman Chauncey Gooden has also impressed as an early enrollee.
