New Kansas City Chiefs CB Antonio Hamilton is already feeling right at home with Chiefs Kingdom.
Shortly after Hamilton’s contract with the Chiefs was reported, he posted a goodbye message to the New York Giants. Before you knew it, Hamilton turned a new page on his career. He updated his profile picture and his Twitter banner with an edit of him wearing a Chiefs uniform in front of the Arrowhead Stadium crowd. He started interacting with fans, retweeting stats and videos of his play. It’s easy to tell that he’s excited to start this new chapter. He’s so excited that he’s already chosen a jersey number.
On Sunday, he hinted at the number he’ll wear during the 2020 NFL season. Check it out:

No player wears No. 20 for Kansas City. It was last worn by Morris Claiborne in 2019, who is currently an unsigned free agent. In 2018 and the three years prior the number was worn by Steven Nelson, who now plays for the Pittsburgh Steelers.
Hamilton previously wore No. 30 with the Giants and No. 32 with the Oakland Raiders. He wore No. 13 in college at South Carolina State. A new adventure with the Chiefs should dictate a new jersey and No. 20 is a fine choice. It has previously been worn by greats such as Lem Barney, Mel Renfro, Brian Dawkins and Ed Reed. In Kansas City, the number was famously worn by defensive backs Deron Cherry, Bobby Hunt and Benny Sapp.
