Throughout his time with the Seattle Seahawks, Dave Canales was involved in some of the most consistently efficient running games in the NFL.
Now that he’s the offensive coordinator for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, Canales will likely bring that same emphasis on an effective ground attack, and he sees plenty of potential in one of his young studs in the backfield.
Rachaad White, a third-round pick in last year’s NFL draft, showed plenty of promise as a rookie, outplaying high-priced veteran incumbent Leonard Fournette for much of the 2022 season.
Heading into the 2023 campaign, Canales is already heaping tons of praise on the second-year back:

White had one of his best games last season against Canales’ Seahawks in Munich, rushing for over 100 yards, and delivering one of the best highlights of the year with a punishing stiff-arm that sent Seattle defensive back Quandre Diggs flying through the air.
Don’t be surprised if White enjoys a breaking season this year, especially if Fournette is released to save salary cap space.
