New Bucs DT Calijah Kancey ready to face off against Bryce Young

The new Bucs DT had a message for the No. 1 pick in a recent interview.

New Bucs DT [autotag]Caljiah Kancey[/autotag] is wasting no time getting acclimated to the NFC South.

Kancey recently did an interview with 95.3 WDAE in Tampa, and he was asked about playing new Carolina Panthers QB Bryce Young. Kancey’s response seemed to indicate he’s looking forward to playing the former Alabama QB.

“Bryce Young has to see me two times a year,” he said.

Kancey is the man for the job if the Bucs want to put Young on his back. He had 14.5 sacks in his last two years at Pitt and was a machine in tackles for loss, netting 34.5 in his career with the Pittsburgh Panthers.

Although Andy Dalton has been technically named the starter, it’s very likely that Kancey will get his wish to play Young. It’ll be a test for him to play against a much-improved Panthers team, but he certainly seems ready for the challenge.
