NEW: 4-star TE Trey’Dez Green commits to LSU

The Tigers picked up their highest-rated commitment so far in the 2024 cycle on Wednesday.

LSU has the makings of a phenomenal tight end class in 2024.

On Wednesday, the Tigers secured the commitment of Jackson (La.) East Feliciana prospect [autotag]Trey’Dez Green[/autotag]. A four-star recruit who ranks as the No. 52 player nationally per On3, Green is the second-best prospect in the state of Louisiana in the cycle.

He chose the Tigers over Alabama, Tennessee, Texas A&M and Miami.

Listed at 6-foot-6.5 or 6-foot-5.5 depending on the recruiting service, Green is mainly considered a tight end though some sites list him as a receiver. He’s also a two-sport athlete and standout basketball prospect who plays power forward, and based on his announcement, it appears he intends to play both in college.

His addition gives LSU 14 commitments in a class that ranks in the top five nationally, per the 247Sports composite rankings.

With Green’s commitment, LSU holds pledges from three of the top 10 prospects in the state of Louisiana in 2024, and the Tigers hold Crystal Ball projections for two more in linebacker [autotag]Tylen Singleton[/autotag] and cornerbacks [autotag]Wardell Mack[/autotag] and [autotag]Ju’Juan Johnson[/autotag].
