Team USA played the fifth and final game of its showcase on Sunday against Germany and won 99-91. The Americans have finished their exhibition slate with a perfect 5-0 record despite the German National Team testing the U.S. unlike any of their prior opponents.

For Team USA, Anthony Edwards had 34 points and six rebounds while Tyrese Haliburton had 16 points and three assists off the bench. Austin Reaves had 16 points off the pine and Jaren Jackson Jr. had seven points.

For Germany, Franz Wagner had 17 points and 10 rebounds while Dennis Schroder had 16 points and 10 assists. Mo Wagner had 14 points off the bench and Daniel Theis had 12 points.

Brooklyn Nets wings Mikal Bridges and Cam Johnson, affectionately known as the “twins”, did not have their best outings. Bridges scored seven points on 3-of-9 shooting from the field, but he did pick up five rebounds, three assists, and two steals for an all-around effort.

On the other hand, Johnson played just four minutes and went 0-for-2 from the field. It seems that players like Tyrese Haliburton and Austin Reaves were turned to when the Americans needed a spark off the bench.
