Nets’ Seth Curry says ‘everything’ went their way in loss to the Celtics

Seth Curry says that “everything” went the Celtics’ way in Wednesday’s embarrassing loss.

Brooklyn Nets guard Seth Curry had a first-hand look at what the Boston Celtics are capable of if you do not bring your best performance in a game against them. From the beginning of the game, the Celtics got everything they wanted on the offensive end and did what they could on defense to stifle the Nets all night long.

In Wednesday’s 139-96 loss to the Celtics, Curry had just seven points on 3-of-9 shooting from the field and 1-of-5 shooting from three-point land. He was one of many Nets who did not show up to play in this game as he was a -24 in plus/minus for the game.

Curry, like many of his teammates, had a slow start to this game and that was all Boston needed to blow this game open. While Brooklyn did make a run on the second quarter to come to within 22 points, the Nets were unable to lower the deficit beyond that. Curry reacted to the loss in his postgame interview about how the game went for the Celtics:

“Yeah, I mean we were down 30 in the first quarter so everything went their way in that first quarter. They were making threes, getting to the lane, getting layups, and we weren’t making shots. So, we weren’t getting stops and we’re playing a set defense the whole time.”
