Ever since the trades of Kevin Durant and Kyrie Irving, the Brooklyn Nets have had less fanfare and commotion around them. Obviously, superstars like Durant and Irving have their own force field when it comes to attracting attention and creating headlines. As a matter of fact, the last time that the Nets were in the news for talking trash was leading up to their matchup with the 76ers on Jan. 25. Well, that changed on Tuesday.
During shootaround on Tuesday ahead of their matchup against the Cleveland Cavaliers, Brooklyn, among other things, was asked about a report from Chris Fedor of Cleveland.com. In that report, Fedor was answering a question from one of his readers about which team Cleveland would want to face in the playoffs.
Essentially, according to Fedor, some within the Cavaliers’ organization said that they were prefer a matchup against the Nets. Fedor went on to explain how Brooklyn is a weaker team overall without Durant and Irving and because of how new the team still is, the Nets may not have the chemistry to be in their best form.
