Nets recall Theo Pinson from Long Island

After spending a couple days in the G League, Theo Pinson is back with the Brooklyn Nets for Thursday’s game against the Los Angles Lakers.

After spending two days with the Nets’ G League affiliate, the Long Island Nets, Brooklyn has recalled Theo Pinson.

The second-year guard joined Long Island on Tuesday ahead of their game against the South Bay Lakers on Wednesday.

Pinson played 30 minutes in Long Island’s 143-108 win over South Bay, scoring 10 points on 4-for-6 shooting (2-for-3 from 3-point territory). He also had a steal, an assist and two rebounds in the win.

Pinson’s 10-point performance for Long Island is his fifth double-digit scoring night of the season, at either the NBA or G League level. He’s reached the mark four times for Brooklyn this year, with his 12 points against the Charlotte Hornets December 11 being his season-high.

So far this year, Pinson has played in 25 games for Brooklyn. He’s averaging 4.5 points per game on 29% shooting, as well as 1.9 assists and 1.8 rebounds while playing 13 minutes per appearance.

Pinson and the Nets face the Los Angeles Lakers on Thursday at 8 p.m.
