Kevin Durant stole the spotlight on Wednesday night. His comeback to the court after not playing since February 13th was the most anticipated return for the Nets this season – and he did not disappoint. When Easy Money went down because of a hamstring injury, the Big 3 was no longer on display for the basketball world. Nearly two months later, here is the two-time NBA Finals MVP is making the Nets even scarier.
Durant came off the bench for only the second time in his entire career and the decision came only minutes before the game. The team announced earlier in the day that Durant would start, but Steve Nash may have had a change in heart.
Kyrie Irving had his way with the Knicks on Monday and he continued his scoring rampage on the Pelicans in the first half. At halftime, he was already up to 20 points and 5 assists. After entering the game in the second quarter, Durant was up to 9 points on 2-2 shooting from the field.
In the second half, Brooklyn just destroyed New Orleans. Irving (24 PTS), LaMarcus Aldridge (22 PTS), Kevin Durant (17 PTS), Joe Harris (14 PTS), and Jeff Green (11 PTS) were at forefront of the offense in the third quarter. During the blowout, the Brooklyn Nets went for 37 assists. This was the 18th time the Nets racked up 30+ assists in a game this season, which is the most since the 1985-86 season (via Nets PR).

Domination to describe this game would be an understatement. The Nets did not hold back at all.
