Nets reaction: Brooklyn completes season sweep of the Knicks

The Nets moved to 3-0 against the Knicks on Monday night.

More bad news plagued the Brooklyn Nets in the first quarter. James Harden had to exit the game due to hamstring tightness. He had three assists and one rebound before leaving the game. It seems like all those minutes he was overloaded with this season is catching up to him. Fortunately for Brooklyn, Kyrie Irving picked up the slack.

Irving finished the half with 23 points and four assists, but this wasn’t enough to match Reggie Bullock’s 16 point explosion and the Knicks with their hot shooting in the first half as the Knicks led 67-57. New York shot 50% from three while the Nets only shot 36% from behind the arc.

The second half was nothing but a grit and grind half for Brooklyn. They erased what was a 14 point lead for the Knicks at one point and Uncle Drew was absolutely amazing. It came down to the last shot to determine a winner and Julius Randle was the culprit who missed the game tying shot in regulation. The Nets took the win 114-112 thanks to big efforts from Kyrie Irving who had 40 points and Jeff Green who added 23 points.
