With the 2023 NBA Draft less than one month away, there will be a lot of speculation on who the Brooklyn Nets will draft with their three picks in the event. In a recent article by Bleacher Report, they project that the Nets will select Ohio State freshman Brice Sensabaugh with the 21st overall pick in the draft.
Sensabaugh, a 6’6″ 235 LB forward out of Orlando, Florida, is leaving school after being a one-and-done who accomplished a lot during his time at OSU. He leaves school making the All-Big Ten third team, Big Ten All-Freshman team, and was top-10 in voting for the Julius Erving award which is an honor bestowed upon the nation’s top small forward.
From watching some video of Sensabaugh, it looks like he has a good ability to shoot the ball in the catch-and-shoot variety. That would be a skill that Brooklyn could use right away given that the team has creators like Spencer Dinwiddie and Mikal Bridges. However, it looks like defense and play-making are his weaknesses, but both of those areas can be developed.
Here’s a scouting video of Sensabaugh done by Adam Spinella to provide more of a visual representation:
