Nets’ Nic Claxton predicted to be 96th-best player in the NBA next season

Brooklyn Nets center Nic Claxton has been growing his game so much that he’s expected to be a top-100 player by the end of the 2023-24 season.

As the Brooklyn Nets look to make it back to the playoffs next season, they will need multiple players on the team to make significant jumps to their game. One of the players that they will be relying on seems to be have some support for a jump in his standing within the NBA.

In a recent article by Bleacher Report on what players they expect to rank in the top 100 of the league by the end of the 2023-24 campaign, Nets center Nic Claxton ranked 96th on the list. An important thing to note about the list is that these are projected rankings and not necessarily where players currently rank.

After how last season unfolded, Claxton has made quite a case for himself to be on the list. He had the best season of his career as he averaged 12.6 points, 9.2 rebounds, 2.5 blocks and 1.9 assists per game while shooting 70.5% from the field, leading the league in that metric. He elevated his game to such a level on the defensive end of the floor that he finished tied for ninth in the Defensive Player of the Year vote.
