Nets named NBA’s most entertaining team by Washington Post

The Washington Post’s Ben Golliver has the Brooklyn Nets as his most entertaining team for this upcoming season.

The Brooklyn Nets have had a steady presence in the headlines in the lead up to this upcoming NBA season, largely due to questions about Kyrie Irving’s vaccination status. Between Irving and the team’s roster brimming with talent, the Washington Post’s Ben Golliver has named the Nets his most entertaining team for this season. The Golden State Warriors, Los Angeles Lakers, Milwaukee Bucks and Dallas Mavericks round out the rest of Golliver’s top-5 most entertaining teams.

The Nets’ big three of Irving, Kevin Durant and James Harden figure to make a deep playoff run in their first full season as a unit, after getting bounced in Game 7 of the Eastern Conference Semifinals last season. The team also added LaMarcus Aldridge and Patty Mills this offseason to complement the returners.

Via The Washington Post:

“Kevin Durant, James Harden and the league’s deepest roster should take last year’s top-ranked offense to new heights. Throw in Irving’s patented mix of hesitation dribbles and off-court headaches, and center stage belongs to Brooklyn.”

Irving’s situation looms large at the moment, but he was cleared to practice in the Nets home facility. As it stands, Irving is set to miss all 41 home games in Brooklyn and any away games in New York, Los Angeles or San Francisco.

The dynamic point guard averaged nearly 27 points and six assists per game last year for the Nets, which is a sizeable amount of production to try to replace every other game.
