Nets’ Mikal Bridges ‘not on the table’ in any potential Damian Lillard trade

Brooklyn Nets wing Mikal Bridges is ‘not on the table’ in any Damian Lillard trade, according to Matt Moore of the Action Network.

The Brooklyn Nets have been linked to Portland Trail Blazers superstar Damian Lillard ever since he showed up to Game 3 of Brooklyn’s first-round playoff series against the Philadelphia 76ers. It looks like if the Nets are able to trade for Lillard, Portland is not getting who they really want in the deal.

According to Matt Moore of the Action Network, the Trail Blazers want to keep Lillard on the team and trade for wing Mikal Bridges since they enjoy the concept of playing those two guys together. The ironic thing is, the Nets feel the same way as they want to trade for Lillard without giving up Bridges.

Both Lillard and Bridges have multiple years left on their contracts and while Lillard is the better player at the moment, this back-and-forth depends on if Portland decides to enter a full rebuild or not. Brooklyn is already on the path of trying to be as competitive as possible for years to come so since they want Lillard, they will have to wait for the Trail Blazers and Lillard to figure things out.
