Nets’ Mikal Bridges listed as ‘ambitious’ trade target for the Memphis Grizzlies

Brooklyn Nets guard Mikal Bridges is listed as an “ambitious” trade target for the Memphis Grizzles, according to a recent article by Bleacher Report.

The Memphis Grizzlies lost in the first round of the 2023 NBA playoffs to the Los Angeles Lakers in six games despite being the second seed in the Western Conference. In light of that and the news that Dillon Brooks will be elsewhere next season, a recent article by Bleacher Report listed Brooklyn Nets guard Mikal Bridges as an ambitious trade target for the Grizzlies.

While Brooklyn is not interested in trading Bridges at this point, it is the offseason so ideas like this will be floated around until the 2023-24 regular season begins. Bridges came to the Nets in the Kevin Durant trade and at the time, Michael Scotto of HoopsHype reported that Memphis was interested in trading four first-round picks for Bridges.

Bridges has been incredible for the Nets since his arrival as he averaged 26.1 points, 4.5 rebounds, and 2.7 assists per game while shooting 47.5% from the field and 37.6% from three-point land. However, if Brooklyn decides to go into a full rebuild, getting four first-round picks from a Grizzlies team that could have long-term issues with superstar Ja Morant would be quite the haul for the rebuild.
