Nets’ Mikal Bridges discusses team chemistry during this season

After Friday’s 125-108 win over the Chicago Bulls, Brooklyn Nets guard Mikal Bridges spoke on the team’s chemistry during this season.

NEW YORK — The Brooklyn Nets have had a tough experience during the 2023-24 season as they are in danger of missing the entire Eastern Conference playoffs completely. As the team is trying to finish this season as strong as possible in the hopes of making the play-in tournament, Brooklyn’s players have acknowledged that the team’s chemistry has been a huge benefit.

“Yeah, I mean, it goes a long way,” Nets guard Mikal Bridges said after Friday’s 125-108 win over the Chicago Bulls. Brooklyn had one of its best performances on both sides of the ball in their win over the Bulls, but it was clear that the Nets were having fun with the game and with each other as well.

“It makes every day better,” Bridges said. “When you’re connected and you’re together, even when you’re losing and times is tough, you walk in the locker room and we’re with each other every day. So, you just, you see your brothers and you kind of, get in a better mood.”

Granted, it is easier to have good team chemistry when the team is winning and in Brooklyn’s case, winning has come few and far between. However, when the Nets are playing like they did on Friday, Brooklyn is one of those teams in the league that look to be supporting each other in such a way that is clear to all who are watching.
