Nets’ Kyrie Irving listed as probable for Thursday’s game at the Suns

Kyrie Irving is probable for Thursday’s game at the Phoenix Suns.

Brooklyn Nets guard Kyrie Irving is listed as probable for Thursday’s game at the Phoenix Suns, according to the NBA’s latest official injury report. Irving missed Tuesday’s 106-98 loss to the San Antonio Spurs with right calf soreness.

Tuesday’s loss showed how much Irving and injured superstar Kevin Durant mean to the Nets’ offense. Against the Spurs, the Nets shot only 42% from the field and more importantly, 13% from three-point land. In the last three games, Brooklyn hasn’t shot better than 45.2% from the field and all three games had considerable collapses in the fourth quarter as the team struggles to generate good offense.

Irving has missed 10 games this season with eight of those missed games were for a team-imposed suspension. The other two missed games were because of calf issues, but the Nets do not seem concerned that these calf issues will affect Irving in the long term. Brooklyn is currently on a 3-game losing streak since Durant sprained his right MCL.
