Philadelphia 76ers franchise legend Allen Iverson influenced a lot of players. He was explosive offensively on the floor and his swagger, confidence, and style off the floor influenced a lot of players as well as he promoted individuality and being yourself rather than what the world wanted you to be.
Brooklyn Nets guard Caris LeVert paid homage to Iverson on Instagram as he showed up to the Nets practice facility in cornrows and a headband. It is nearly identical to The Answer’s style on the floor and on top of that, LeVert captioned his photo simply as “practice” in reference to the infamous rant from Iverson on the activity. He posted the picture of himself and then Iverson on the next slide.
The Nets, along with the Sixers, are one of the 22 teams headed to Orlando to resume and finish the 2019-20 season. Brooklyn does not have the same aspirations as Philadelphia as they will be missing superstars Kyrie Irving and Kevin Durant due to injury. [lawrence-related id=33939,33930,33921]
