Nets full injury report for Saturday’s critical matchup against Hawks

On the Brooklyn Nets’ injury report for Saturday’s game against the Atlanta Hawks, Cam Thomas is out and Ben Simmons is questionable.

The Brooklyn Nets are in the middle of an important portion of their season as they have to beat the Atlanta Hawks on Saturday if they want a good chance of overtaking them in the Eastern Conference standings. Unfortunately for Brooklyn, they have two important players who could be out of action against the Hawks.

When the Nets released their injury report for Saturday’s pivotal matchup against Atlanta, the report showed that guard Cam Thomas is out for the contest and Ben Simmons is questionable. Thomas will be missing his third straight game with his ankle injury while Simmons is in danger of missing his third straight contest with his left leg soreness.

With the recent injuries to Thomas and Simmons, the Nets have gone with Dennis Schröder as the point guard in place of Simmons along with sliding Cam Johnson into the starting lineup after his demotion to the bench. While Brooklyn lost to the Orlando Magic on Tuesday 108-81, the Nets also beat the Hawks on Thursday 124-97.

Prior to Thursday’s win over the Hawks, Brooklyn interim head coach Kevin Ollie said that Simmons and Thomas are “day-to-day” with their injuries so it’s possible that both could be back relatively soon. In the meantime, the Nets will be relying on Mikal Bridges, Dennis Schröder, and Cam Johnson to step up for the team.
