Nets end Raptors’ winning streak with double-digit win

The Nets managed to limit Pascal Siakam and Kyle Lowry on offense, while Caris LeVert and Joe Harris led Brooklyn to a win.

The Toronto Raptors entered Barclays Center on Wednesday sporting a 15-game winning streak. It’s their longest winning streak in franchise history — and Brooklyn made sure Toronto’s run didn’t extend to 16 games, as the Nets won their last game before the NBA All-Star break 101-91.

The win is the Nets’ fifth in a row at Barclays Center. Brooklyn has won each of the five games by 10 or more points — something they haven’t done since 2004.

The Raptors’ 15-game winning streak is also the longest streak the Nets have brought to an end, the previous best streak was owned by Seattle (12 games) in 1982-83.

Also, this is the first time the Nets have beaten a reigning NBA champion since 2014, per YES Network.

In the win, Caris LeVert led the Nets with 20 points on 10-for-20 shooting. He also had seven rebounds.

Joe Harris scored 19 points, knocking down 2 of his 5 attempts from 3-point territory.

Jarrett Allen logged another double-double, scoring 10 points and grabbing 13 rebounds.

Spencer Dinwiddie came close to registering a double-double, too. He scored 17 points, dished out nine assists and had six rebounds.

Off the bench, DeAndre Jordan had 10 rebounds and Garrett Temple scored 10 points.
