Brooklyn Nets guard Dennis Smith Jr. has developed a reputation as one of the best defenders at the guard position in the NBA. Even though training camp is still months away, Smith Jr. is still finding ways to hone his craft and bring that defensive intensity to any court he plays on.
Recently, video has surfaced of Miami Heat guard Tyler Herro scoring 44 points in the Miami Pro-Am that was held at the Miami Pro Gym. While there is a video containing some of Herro’s best highlights from that particular game, there is also footage of Herro having trouble scoring against Smith Jr.
It is the offseason so most likely, none of the players are going full-speed so that they can try to lower their risk of injury. However, in the video posted below, it looks like Smith Jr. and Herro are giving it their all and it was a pleasure to watch.
