PHILADELPHIA–The Brooklyn Nets paid a visit to the Wells Fargo Center on Thursday looking to continue building off a win over the Charlotte Hornets in their previous game. As they got set to take on the Philadelphia 76ers, they realized this was not an ordinary game.
The Nets were facing a very hostile crowd in Philadelphia as they were ready for the return of Ben Simmons. The 25-year old was a former star for the Sixers before the Nets acquired him for James Harden and he received a lot of boos and got a lot of tough treatment from the Philadelphia crowd.
At the end of the day, it was the Nets who got the last laugh and they let the crowd in Philadelphia know about it as they rallied around Simmons after a 129-100 win in which Brooklyn led by as many as 36.
