Nets coach Jacque Vaughn provides positive injury update on TJ Warren

Brooklyn Nets coach Jacque Vaughn says TJ Warren is now playing against other players as he continues his rehab.

During his pregame availability before the Brooklyn Nets took on the Philadelphia 76ers on Tuesday, Nets coach Jacque Vaughn said that wing TJ Warren is now “playing against other players” as he continues to rehab from a foot injury.

Warren has only played four games in the last two seasons combined because of various injuries and he is currently recovering from surgeries to address stress fractures in his left foot.

Warren signed with the Nets this past offseason on a one-year, $2.6 million deal with the idea that he would spend part of this season rehabbing to eventually play for the Nets this season.

“It (Warren’s activity) is against players,” Vaughn said. “I’m not sure if it was four on four. It could have been the range from three on three, four on four. Not sure if they get to five on five.”

The Nets are eagerly awaiting Warren’s return because of his ability to score the basketball at all three levels, but they also want to give him as much time as he needs to completely recover from his foot injuries.
