Nets’ Ben Simmons says upcoming season will be ‘completely different’

Brooklyn Nets guard Ben Simmons recently spoke with Tina Cervasio (@TinaCervasio) of FOX and it seems that he’s ready for the 2023-24 season to start. Thanks to @BillyReinhardt for the video.

Brooklyn Nets guard Ben Simmons is arguably the most interesting player on the team due to his history as a former All-Star along with the fact that Simmons has not been close to that version of himself for quite some time now. Now that he’s recovered from the nerve impingement in his back, Simmons seems excited for everything that’s going to come with this upcoming season.

Simmons, along with players like Mikal Bridges and Nic Claxton, will be called upon to improve his game if the Nets are going to make it back to the postseason. With the odds stacked against Brooklyn, Simmons has to get back to his best self, or close to it, if the Nets are going are going to feel optimistic about their future.

Simmons recently sat down with Tina Cervasio of FOX to discuss, among many things, what his feelings are for the upcoming 2023-24 season. With training camp still weeks away, it seems that Simmons is ready to participate as much as he physically can.

Here’s some of what he had to say to Cervasio:

“I think this is the first time where I’ve really had to just get healthy and get back on track to where I need to be. I’m super excited to be in Brooklyn, obviously. And then, we got a great team (and) a great coach in Jacque Vaughn, so I’m excited. I think this year is gonna be a completely different year (compared) to the past couple. So, I’m excited.”
