Nets’ Ben Simmons feels ‘amazing’ after Monday’s preseason game

After playing in his first NBA game in almost eight months, Brooklyn Nets guard Ben Simmons said that it feels ‘amazing’ to be able to play.

Brooklyn Nets guard Ben Simmons has had a long road getting to where he is right now: healthy and able to play basketball without pain. After having a nerve impingement in his back that prematurely ended his 2022-23 early, Simmons was back on the court for the Nets and looked like himself.

Monday‘s preseason game against the Los Angeles Lakers was Simmons’ first NBA game since Feb. 15 when he played a little over 20 minutes against the Miami Heat. Since then, Simmons has been working to get back to the court so that he can be the best that he can be for the Nets moving forward.

Against Los Angeles, Simmons moved well and he looked like how he did during his days with the Philadelphia 76ers. In 14 minutes, Simmons had 10 points, one rebound, and three assists and had some highlight plays during his time on the floor.

Simmons playing the way he did made a lot of the Nets’ fanbase excited for things to come and to put the cherry on top, he felt “amazing” to be able to play:

“Amazing, amazing. It’s really just amazing. Happy to be out there and compete and feel good out there and able to contribute like I know I can. So, I feel great.”
