Nets’ Ben Simmons downgraded to questionable vs. Pacers

Ben Simmons is now listed as questionable for Monday’s game against Indiana.

Needing a bounce-back win at home over the Pacers on Halloween night, it’s possible that the Nets may take the court on Monday without a member of the team’s Big 3 in the lineup.

In the latest 3:30 p.m. injury report released by the league, Brooklyn’s Ben Simmons was listed as questionable due to left knee soreness. Simmons had not previously been listed at all.

Update: Simmons has been ruled out.

With the team facing a back-to-back, it’s possible Brooklyn is holding Simmons back to ensure he could play on Tuesday against Chicago, which would seemingly be a more difficult matchup. With the Nets at 1-5, though, no game has been easy, and the Pacers can’t be overlooked after scoring 125 points in a win over the Nets on Saturday.
