The Brooklyn Nets (34-28, sixth in the Eastern Conference) visit TD Garden on Friday to take on the Boston Celtics (45-18, second in the Eastern Conference) for the fourth and final time this season. Boston currently leads the regular-season series 3-0.
Brooklyn comes into this game among one of the worst stretches that they’ve had all season. Not only is team not considered a championship contender anymore because of the trades of Kevin Durant and Kyrie Irving, but the Nets are not playing defense like many expected them to after acquiring so many wings. It was more of the same on Wednesday as Brooklyn allowed the New York Knicks to score 142 points and that includes an 81-point first half.
Boston comes into this matchup having won eight of its last 10 games including a 117-113 win on Wednesday over the Cleveland Cavaliers. The Celtics have been one of the best teams in the league all season and are only in second place in the Eastern Conference because the Milwaukee Bucks are on a 16-game winning streak.
