Former USC receiver and current Detroit Lions standout Amon-Ra St. Brown will star in Netflix’s docuseries “Receiver,” which is set to premiere on July 10.
This series is the follow-up to 2023′s “Quarterback,” which focused on Minnesota’s Kirk Cousins, Kansas City’s Patrick Mahomes and Atlanta’s Marcus Mariota. “Receivers” is an eight-episode series which will follow St. Brown, Raiders receiver Davante Adams, Vikings receiver Justin Jefferson, 49ers tight end George Kittle, and 49ers receiver Deebo Samuel as they compete.
The series is produced by NFL Films, Peyton Manning’s Omaha Productions and Patrick Mahomes’ 2PM Productions.
St. Brown, the former Mater Dei and USC Trojan star, recently agreed to four-year deal with Lions worth more than $120 million this offseason. St. Brown had a tremendous 2023 season in Detroit, very nearly leading the Lions to their first-ever Super Bowl appearance. St. Brown was a fourth-round NFL draft pick who has greatly exceeded the expectations attached to a player taken outside the top 100 on the big board. He will try to take the next step with the Lions in 2024.
