Nebraska WR Trey Palmer is a perfect fit in the middle rounds

The former Cornhusker could be the missing piece.

It is no secret that the Cleveland Browns offense is set to evolve with new quarterback Deshaun Watson available for the entire season in 2023. The team must get more speed to open things up in the passing attack and Nebraska wide receiver Trey Palmer would check those boxes. Palmer originally played at LSU before transferring to Nebraska and having his best season in 2022.

Players like Palmer are great to add as he has a unique blend of size, strength, and speed. Palmer came in at the NFL Scouting Combine at 6 feet tall weighing 192 pounds and with nearly 32-inch arms. His size shows up in the film as a player that has the tools to make the tough contested catches using his size to his advantage against defensive backs.

His size and strong hands are only part of it, the most appealing part of his game is his truly game-changing speed. Palmer ran a blazing 4.33 40-yard dash it shows on tape as he runs away from defenders. His body control helps him create plenty of separation and produces plenty of explosive plays. The Browns should have Palmer on their draft board this April.
