One of the top recruits in the class of 2024 has announced her commitment to the Nebraska women’s basketball team. Britt Prince is a five-star guard out of Elkhorn North High School.

She is currently ranked as 2024’s No. 28 prospect, according to ESPN. Prince has helped the Wolves to three straight Nebraska state championships and was the 2022 Nebraska Gatorade Player of the Year.

The point guard averaged 24.0 points per game with 8.6 rebounds and 6.2 assists last season. Prince told Omaha World-Herald that she’s excited to play for her home state team.

“I’m grateful for the opportunity to represent and impact my home-state team in a place that really supports their athletic programs. My longstanding familiarity and weekly phone calls with Coach (Amy) Williams really solidified our relationship and belief in each other.”

Nebraska women’s basketball team will tip off the 2023-24 season on Monday at noon against Northwestern State.
