Nebraska will be without a key defensive lineman in the first half against the #cubuffs

Shedeur Sanders and the Colorado offense might want to strike early and often in Saturday’s Week 2 matchup against Nebraska. One of the Cornhuskers’ key defenders will be out for the entire first half against the Buffs after committing an unwise mistake in Week 1.

Due to a targeting penalty that he picked up in the second half of the Cornhuskers’ opening game against Minnesota, defensive lineman Ty Robinson is suspended for the first half of Saturday’s game against Colorado.

Nebraska head coach Matt Rhule told the press that Robinson better be ready to play when the second half rolls around (h/t Cornhuskers Wire):

“Obviously it’s unfortunate we won’t have him in the first half but I told him he’s going in on every play in the second half when you get back. So you better rest up.”

Here’s the play that got Robinson ejected against Minnesota.

Last year, Robinson started in all 12 games for Nebraska and recorded 24 tackles, four TFLs and two sacks.

Kickoff between Colorado and Nebraska is set for 10 a.m. MT on Fox.
