Nebraska target Cortez Mills makes trip to Lincoln for Colorado game

Cortez Mills has been a top Nebraska target for the 2025 class.

Class of 2025 wide receiver Cortez Mills traveled to Lincoln on Saturday. Rivals.com’s Tim Verghese confirmed this. The wide receiver is currently committed to the Oklahoma Sooners.

Mills is a four-star wideout. According to the 247Sports Composite rankings, he is the 13th overall wide receiver in the 2025 class and the 17th overall player from the state of Florida.

Mills committed to the Sooners on July 1. The Huskers have been heavily involved in Mills recruitment since last summer.

The explosive playmaker tallied 79 passes for 1,640 yards and 18 touchdowns last season for Homestead High School.

Nebraska football currently has several playmakers in the 2025 recruiting class. The top wideout commitment is Isaiah Mozee. Mozee and Mills were seen talking with each other, as well as wide receivers coach Garret McGuire, before Saturday’s contest against the Colorado Buffaloes.

Time will tell if Mills commits to the Huskers. Nevertheless, it is undoubtedly a good sign that they got him to campus.
