The Nebraska Cornhuskers have offered a scholarship to a top player in the class of 2026. Xavier McDonald is a four-star wide receiver from Morton High School in Morton, MS.
Last season, as a sophomore, he appeared in 11 varsity football games. McDonald made 56 receptions for 1,166 yards and 16 touchdowns.
The wideout has been a popular name on the recruiting trail. Nebraska is the 15th scholarship offer, with McDonald already holding offers from Auburn, LSU, and Ole Miss.
The SEC appears to be a front-runner for his commitment. According to On3’s Recruitment Prediction Machine, Auburn is the early leader.
The Huskers do not hold any commitments to the class of 2026 but have extended numerous offers in the past week.
