The Nebraska Cornhuskers are just 32 days away from the beginning of their 2024 season on August 31’s season opener against the UTEP Miners.
In the player spotlight with 32 days to go is Huskers redshirt freshman defensive back Rahmir Stewart. The 5-foot-11, 210-pound defensive back out of Philadelphia appeared in one game in 2023 for the Huskers but ultimately redshirted, giving him four years of eligiblity entering this season.
Stewart was a consensus three-star prospect in the 2023 recruiting cycle choosing the Huskers over Georgia, Michigan, Oregon, Oklahoma, Penn State, and Texas A&M among others.
In 2024, Stewart is expected to be a depth cornerback for the Huskers and could see playing time throughout the season.
