Only 22 days remain until the start of Nebraska’s 2024 season. The Huskers are continuing to prepare for their season opener on August 31 against the University of Texas—El Paso Miners. Today we take a look at running Gabe Ervin Jr.
The junior running back out of Buford, Georgia, is entering his fourth season with the program and is coming off a 2023 campaign that saw his season cut short after three games, including two starts, due to a season-ending injury. It was the second time in his first three seasons that Ervin suffered a season-ending injury early in the season.
Prior to the injury, Ervin totaled 38 carries for 196 yards and one touchdown.
In 2024, Ervin will look to put together a full season and is expected to be among the program’s top contributors at running back and will look to reclaim his starting spot.
