A Nebraska defensive back has declared for the 2024 NFL draft. Omar Brown made the announcement on social media on Friday afternoon.
“First off, I want to thank God for putting me in the position I am in today, for without him, I am nothing, but with him, I am everything. To my family and friends, thank you for just being there and supporting me, and showing me unconditional love while I have grown as a man.”
In 2023, the Minneapolis native made 51 total tackles, two forced fumbles and one interception. For his career, he made 75 tackles with nine interceptions.
I want to thank everyone who supported me during my time at UNL. I love and appreciate all the fans and friends that I made along the way. Thank you for helping me find who I/ was and trusting me. I want to thank the University of Nebraska for bringing me in and giving me an opportunity to play at the highest level in front of the best fans in the country. I’ll never forget it.
Brown started his career at Northern Iowa before transferring to Nebraska for the 2022 season.
To all my teammates and coaches, I appreciate you all for everything. I know now I have lifelong relationships. With that being said I’m proud to say I will officially be declaring for the 2024 NFL draft.
