Nebraska Cornhuskers cornerback Tommi Hill has moved to wide receiver. On the team’s roster, he is now listed as a wide receiver, and his number has been changed to #2.
Hill played wide receiver in high school. At Edgewater High School, Hill recorded 85 receptions for 1,586 yards and 14 touchdowns per MaxPreps.
Hill has a chance to make an immediate impact on offense. According to multiple reports, he was taking practice reps with the No. 1 offense on Tuesday.
Quarterback Casey Thompson spoke highly of Hill. “Lots of people are going to be surprised with what they see from him,” Thompson said per Nick Sehnert of 93.7 The Ticket.
Hill began his college career at Arizona State. As a freshman, he appeared in seven games. He posted nine total tackles and returned four kicks for 79 yards. Following the season, he transferred to Nebraska. Hill played five games at cornerback for the Cornhuskers this season. He had 17 total tackles and four passes defended.
He flashed potential on defense. Against Northwestern, he had a quarterback hurry, and he had this nice pass breakup.

Really good instincts in zone coverage and certainly packs a punch. Gets away with a facemask on the downclimb, but an emphatic pass breakup nonetheless. pic.twitter.com/OgXkE4DuZQ
