NCAA Tournament: Alabama starter exits Notre Dame game with injury

Hopefully this isn’t serious because it didn’t look good.

Starting Alabama guard Jahvon Quinerly appeared to injure his knee early in Friday’s First Round NCAA Tournament game with Notre Dame.  Quinerly suffered the injury roughly four minutes into the contest with Notre Dame leading 3-2.

We will keep you posted when more details about the injury are known but the loss for the Crimson Tide would be significant for this tournament game and beyond as Quinerly started 26 games this season and averaged 14.3 points per game, the second-most on the team.

The winner of the Notre Dame-Alabama contest will advance to the Second Round to take on third-seeded Texas Tech who easily got by Montana State, 97-62 on Friday.
