NBPA approves of NBA return to play plan, return set for July 31

The NBA Players Association has approved of the league’s return to play plan.

The NBA took its final step toward a return on Friday afternoon. After the Board of Governors approved of the return to play plan on Thursday, it was time for the players over at the NBPA to vote on and approve of the plana and that’s exactly what they did.

The players approved of the plan presented by commissioner Adam Silver and the league continues to steamroll towards a July 31 season resumption in the chosen bubble site of Disney World in Orlando. This was an important step for the league as they obviously need the approval and the support of the guys who are going out there and playing the games.

All 28 player reps on the conference call approved of the plan.

For the Philadelphia 76ers—and the NBA as a whole—this is a huge step for them. They now believe that they can keep everybody safe during this pandemic and they have the support of now both the Governors and the players. The only thing left to do now is to throw that ball up and let’s get back to work. [lawrence-related id=32617,32607,32598]
