In a one-of-a-kind partnership, the National Basketball League and Looney Tunes joined forces in a unique manner, the league announced this week.

Looney Tunes characters will be featured on a sports uniform for the first time thanks to an exclusive collaboration between First Ever, the National Basketball League (NBL) and Warner Bros. Consumer Products.

First Ever CEO and NBL Co-Owner Justin Kestelman said: “Looney Tunes is one of the world’s most iconic brands and it’s an honour to collaborate with WB for this exclusive apparel collection.

“We hope these uniforms and apparel create a sense of nostalgia amongst basketball fans around the world, but also resonate with kids who avidly follow the likes of Bugs Bunny, Daffy Duck and Looney Tunes as a whole.

“We believe this line will lead the way in First Ever becoming a pioneer in the pop culture basketball apparel space.”

Each team will have a specific Looney Tunes character assigned to them as follows:

Adelaide 36ers – Tasmanian Devil
Brisbane Bullets – Yosemite Sam
Cairns Taipans – Wile E. Coyote
Illawarra Hawks – Road Runner
Melbourne United – Bugs Bunny
New Zealand Breakers – Tweety
Perth Wildcats – Sylvester
South East Melbourne Phoenix – Marvin the Martian
Sydney Kings – Daffy Duck

All apparel is currently on sale on the league’s online shop, including the Hawks’ jerseys with Road Runner. Jerseys, vintage t-shirts and crew neck t-shirts are all available.
