NBC’s coverage of the NASCAR Cup Series in 2024 begins at Iowa this weekend

NBC Sports’ coverage of the NASCAR Cup Series in 2024 will begin at Iowa Speedway this weekend.

FOX Sports has concluded its portion of the 2024 NASCAR Cup Series season, which means a new network will be in town at Iowa Speedway. NBC Sports will take over the Cup Series coverage for the rest of the 2024 season at Iowa this weekend. The first race will be held on the USA Network at 7:00 p.m. ET for a Father’s Day special.

When NBC Sports takes over, it usually signals that the NASCAR season is rounding the corner as the playoff drama begins. As of now, 10 races remain in the regular season as several Cup Series champions, such as Kyle Busch and Joey Logano, battle for a playoff spot. Four of those 10 events will be on NBC, while six will be on the USA Network.

In the 2024 NASCAR playoffs, the first four Cup Series races will be live on the USA Network, while the last six events are on NBC. Also, Leigh Diffey is expected to take over for Rick Allen sometime during the stretch, so he will be the play-by-play announcer for the 2024 Cup Series championship. The excitement is in the air for NBC, and it all starts at Iowa this weekend.
