They say that if you are going to sufferer a loss in NCAA college football, that it is better if it’s earlier in the season, which is exactly what happened to Notre Dame.
The Week 2 upset to Northern Illinois was a tough pill to swallow, as many immediately panicked and wanted to move on from Marcus Freeman. Well, those same people might be trying to jump back on the bandwagon, as the Irish have now reeled off six-straight victories follow its blowout of Navy on Saturday afternoon.
[autotag]Nicole Auerbach[/autotag], one of college football’s best analysts, believes that with what Notre Dame has done over the past six games is enough for everyone to kind of forget the loss to the Huskies. She claimed that Notre Dame’s appeal to the College Football Playoff committee is that they’re a “different team, they’re allowed to get better over the course of a season.”
There is no doubt in my mind that this is correct, as both side of the ball have improved for Notre Dame. It’s been a rollercoaster season for the Irish, as the ride isn’t quite done yet.
