During the global coronavirus pandemic, everybody has stepped up in one away or another and helped out others during this time. Various members of the Philadelphia 76ers have been no different as they have stepped up and donated and done many other things at this time.
General manager Elton Brand is no different as he has used his The Elton Brand Foundation in a positive way. The Peekskill, New York native has been raising money to provide scholarships for students at Peekskill High School as well as the Kemberton Waldorf School in Philadelphia. The foundation also helps fund five internship positions at the Urban Affairs Commission.
For those efforts, the National Basketball Players Association gave him, and other NBA philanthropic foundations, a $40,000 grant.

The Sixers have done an admirable job of showing off kindness and a willingness to help others throughout this entire situation. They have been an exemplary organization in such a tough time at the moment. [lawrence-related id=33997,33991,33980]
