NBA Twitter slams Russell Westbrook after another rough display vs. Kings

NBA Twitter is not fond of Los Angeles Lakers guard Russell Westbrook after he shot 2-of-14 in the losing effort against the Kings.

The Los Angeles Lakers acquired Russell Westbrook over the summer to be the team’s third star, but he has not played like one in recent games.

The triple-double machine can still produce assists and rebounds despite a much lower usage rate, but his shooting efficiency has tumbled off the cliff.

Four games ago against the Sacramento Kings, Westbrook shot 7-of-19 (36.8%). Then he shot 4-of-14 against the Atlanta Hawks (28.5%), followed by a 2-of-12 night against the Memphis Grizzlies (16.6%).

That seemed to be the lowest it could get for the former 2017 NBA MVP. As it turned out, in Wednesday’s loss to the Kings, it went lower.

Westbrook converted 2-of-14 shots (14.2%), far from what he should be producing while making $44 million this season.

NBA Twitter did not hold back after that performance:
