NBA Twitter reacts to Warriors late comeback win vs. Cavaliers, 104-89

After the Warriors stormed to a comeback win in the fourth quarter against the Cavs, fans and analysts exploded with reactions on NBA Twitter.

After a statement win over Kevin Durant and the Brooklyn Nets on Tuesday, the Golden State Warriors looked to be heading towards a trap game on Thursday against the Cleveland Cavaliers.

Despite dealing with a flurry of injuries, the Cavs played a spirited contest against the Warriors at Cleveland’s Rocket Mortgage Fieldhouse.

After holding a three-point lead over Golden State at halftime, the Cavaliers took over in the third quarter, extending their advantage to 13 points before heading into the final 12 minutes.

Through three quarters, the Warriors were cold from long distance, shooting only 9-of-29 from deep in the game. With the 3-pointer not falling, it looked like the Warriors were headed to their second loss on their current four-game road swing.

However, Steph Curry and the Warriors answered the bell in the fourth quarter. Curry showed why he’s considered a frontrunner for the Most Valuable Player award, tallying 20 points on 8-of-12 shooting from the floor, including four triples in the fourth quarter alone.

Along with Curry’s explosive late run, the Warriors tightened up on the defensive end of the floor, holding the Cavaliers to only eight points on 2-of-14 shooting from the field in the final frame.

Behind a fierce comeback in the fourth quarter, Golden State stormed past Cleveland to steal the game late, 104-89.

Curry finished the game with another impressive performance, scoring 40 points on 15-of-27 shooting from the field with nine 3-pointers.

Following Golden State’s comeback win on the road, the NBA community was buzzing on social media. Below is a look at what fans and analysts were saying after the game.
